The Challenge
YesPlz is a Los Angeles-based coffee subscription service featuring high-quality beans from around the world.
Their former WooCommerce platform was solid and served the purpose of many customers regarding purchasing flow and account management. However, the tool started to become monolitic, and any change their marketing team required would take longer to develop than expected.
This was far from ideal in a competitive market demanding creative offers to their client base.

The solution
We helped Kley Co., one of our long-lasting partner agencies, design a solution using NextJS + Shopify. This process also included some fresh new design patterns provided by Kley. A component-based approach with performance in mind. In replacement of WordPress, the client would update the site’s content via Strapi. We also introduced a new navigation.
Through many iterations, we were able to recreate the former site. This time we relied on Shopify’s great API. We revamped customer account management with more options and an improved experience.
Migrating from WooCommerce to Shopify was also a challenging experience, from customers to orders, as well as products and variants.

The result
With the new site release, we registered a boost in performance. Shopping flow was improved, resulting in more subscriptions.
YesPlz marketing team can create new landing pages as soon as they want without requiring endless iterations.
The new infrastructure hosting the site is flexible enough to provide more resources on demand during special sale occasions.
Customer account management improvements pivoted to fewer customer support requests as well.
