WordPress for hospitals and health systems

Patients find the right care without calling. AI reads the reviewed version.

Doctors, locations, services and health information in one WordPress platform. Your team publishes after clinical and privacy review, and no form asks for data your privacy team has not approved. For hospitals, clinic networks and public health agencies.

What 40Q builds for health organizations

Care that’s easy to find, content that’s safe to publish

Patients judge your care by what they can find. We rebuild the platform around the questions they ask, with review and privacy built into how your team publishes.

  • ā€œPatients call the switchboard to find a doctor who’s already on our site.ā€

Patients search by specialty, location and language, and most sites list doctors by department. The doctor data usually lives in another system, and the website copy drifts from it. We make that system the owner of provider data. We build: a doctor and location finder synced from your provider database, with search by specialty, location, language and accepted plans, and one page per doctor and per location that search engines and AI assistants can read.

  • ā€œClinical pages wait weeks for review, and then nobody knows when they expire.ā€

Health information needs a clinician’s sign-off and a review date that means something. We move that review into WordPress. We build: a review path with clinical, legal and brand steps, the reviewer and last-reviewed date shown on each page, and reminders before a page is due for review again.

  • ā€œPrivacy asks what every tag and form sends, and we can’t answer.ā€

On a health site, an analytics tag or a form can pass sensitive details to a vendor nobody approved. The rules have moved more than once, so your privacy team sets the policy, and the platform makes it stick. We build: an inventory of every tag and form, consent management, no third-party tags on appointment pages unless approved, and forms your privacy team has approved.

  • ā€œWe added three clinics and now run five websites that disagree.ā€

Every acquisition brings a site, a brand and its own phone numbers, and patients land on the old one. We put them on one platform. We build: a multisite with a shared design system and shared doctor and service data, where each hospital or clinic keeps its local pages, and redirects so every old address still leads to the right place.

  • ā€œWe have to meet WCAG 2.1 AA, and the PDFs alone would take a year.ā€

Accessibility breaks page by page when editors have to remember it. We build it into the tools they publish with. We build: blocks that are accessible by default (WCAG 2.1 AA), accessible forms, checks in the editor, and a plan to turn your most-used PDFs into pages, tested before launch.

What you can check before you hire us

Proof your privacy and security teams can verify

Documented before launch. We write down what we set up on your site, from roles to plugins and tags, and hand it to your privacy and security teams before launch.

Accessible from the first page. We build the blocks your team publishes with to WCAG 2.1 AA, so every new page starts accessible instead of waiting for an audit to fix it.

Each area for the right people. A role for each team, and a referring-physician or partner area that opens only to the people it should.

Fifteen years on one problem. Helping teams publish without waiting on developers, across hundreds of WordPress projects.

See your site the way a patient does

Thirty minutes with a WordPress engineer. We look for a doctor, a location and a service on your site the way a patient would, check which tags fire on the way, and show you which fix comes first. No deck and no sales pitch.
